Some suggestions for the site, since we need to start working to, if not better it and make it more popular, at least keep it up properly..... If you're not an admin or mod, you're free to keep track but really your voice will not assist anything. I don't mean to sound like a cold asshole, but I am so that's just how it comes off. Onwards, to those it concerns.......
First, we need to put a time limit on unexcused absences. This means someone, and had I the power I'd happily assist but unfortunately I do not, must go through the profiles, delete absent members, and clear up the sections generally.
Second, we need to apply limitations to boards. A person shouldn't be able to post that they are a character with a name and nothing else into the accepted characters board directly. This is a problem, must be resolved quickly.
Third, we must apply some system of one canon + one custom character, or three characters maximum, and only allow it after a graded period where the user in question has shown that they are capable roleplayers and that they can keep up three accounts.
Fourth, we really must be less lenient with the roleplay quality of our members, since it's generally poor. If by us trying to better them they get upset and leave, this is frankly a good thing; millions of Naruto viewers in the world, most RPing online, we don't need to take what we can get if we're good at this.
Fifth, and this is my task, try to surpass me and I'll eviscerate you, is that members should generally be able to keep up to date on the manga, and if we're not imposing a future or past timeline all mods and admins must as well. I'll gladly set up a sticky (I really need more mod powers for threads, no this is not begging but for conveinence; give me a trial period if nothing else) thread with a site that fansubs into english and updates every week that a comic comes out. This is how I keep on top of things, and it's damn convenient to have a site like it that you can bookmark.
Sixth, we need to delete old threads, or have a system of sorting out old threads into a "Dead Threads" board for records but cleanliness. The site is looking less than exquisite because there is too much shit.
Seventh, we need major adjustments to jutsu. I'll try and upload, if allowed, a completed list of all canon jutsu into a separate set of boards for them, and since we're on a yen system, we might want to consider how we'll go about purchasing them, so that an "Eiyu Character," or a character that because of activity is a god due to their having bought every jutsu in existence, is prevented from developing.
More will come when I can think of hem, but please, to the admins that we have, consider these. And the mods need to have more thread abilities (such as locking, deleting posts, stickying, etc.), since the purpose of a mod is to be there when the admins aren't. We don't need to be able to open other's accounts, lock or delete accounts or anything like that, but we do need to have about four people total for mod-dom, 100% functional and reliable, whom have the abilities to screw with boards and threads. It really just makes more sense.
By the way, I'm back, but I'll only be so active for a long while. Give me a month to hit my stride. And I wont be rloeplaying, just assisting with site construction/upkeep; I'm remaking my profile anyway; lots has happened to Arashi in the time of his absence.....
------First Addition, Number Eight------
People need to not be able to post just by being guests. I suppose you can see the advertisement that was posted by someone not a member of the forum. Um, yeah, easily fixed....
